

Hysitron's new performech advanced control module greatly advances the precision of feedback-controlled nanomechanical testing. The performech offers a <30nN normal force noise floor, a 78kHz feedback loop rate, the ability to capture data at user definable acquisition rates up to 30kHz, and can image soft samples and delicate structures with contact forces as low as 70nN. Lateral (scratch) force and displacement measurement sensitivity is also greatly enhanced with low noise floors of <2uN and 3.5nm, respectively. The performech advanced control module allows Hysitron instrumentation to quantitatively operate with unparalleled performance and accuracy at a length scale only previously imagined.
