The current trend in scientific research and drug discovery is toward multiplexing with a variety of fluorescent biomarkers. Multiplexing improves efficiency and reduces the costs associated with tissue- and TMA-based assays.
The ScanScope FL eSlide capture devices addresses the growing demand for whole-slide scanning of slides stained with multiple fluorochromes. With the monochrome camera and quad multi-bandpass filter set provided with the system, up to four color channels can be acquired. However, the six-position filter cube turret and excitation filter wheel allow for even greater flexibility. Advanced illumination, autoexposure, and autofocus capabilities eliminate the need for trial-and-error scanning, greatly reducing the problem of photobleaching.
- Acquire seamless high-resolution digital slides using Aperio's patented line-scanning technology
- Permanently archive the digital slides, eliminating concerns about fading of the fluorochromes on the glass slides over time
- Use ImageScope, advanced visualisation software, to view multi-channel digital images in a variety of ways
- Organise images and data, and perform image analysis in Spectrum Plus, the image and data management software
ePathviewer for iPad and iPhone
Aperio ePathViewer is a fast easy-to-use viewer for digital pathology images, which lets you easily view digital slides anywhere, at any time. The current version supports several fixed sites including the Rosai Collection and SecondSlide; a future update will work with any websites that support Aperio digital slides, including all Spectrum Systems.
