Verdi is a family of compact, diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) and optically pumped semiconductor lasers (OPSL) with continuous-wave 532nm lasers and offers the broadest output power range of up to 20W. Verdi is the preferred pump laser for Ti:S oscillator and amplifiers. All Verdi lasers are specified with the lowest noise commercially available (<0.02% rms) and are the only lasers suited for Carrier Envelope Phase Stabilisation (CEPS).

The Verdi G-Series is based on OPSL technology where the rod-based gain medium is replaced with a robust and versatile semiconductor chip. OPSL's have no thermal lensing effects and its power can be changed without affecting beam parameters. In addition, its simpler design and decreased number of components makes it 50% smaller in footprint compared to the competition.
